NTD Sampling
The NTD Sampling Manual is a guide for NTD reporters from urbanized areas
that need to conduct a statistical sampling to report
passenger miles traveled (PMT) data to the NTD. It is being released for the 2011 Report Year
on a preliminary basis. The methodologies described in this Manual will be accepted
for the 2011 Report Year by any reporter choosing to use them. At this time,
Circulars 2710.1A, 2710.2A, and 2710.4A remain in effect for those reporters choosing
to use them. FTA may decide to withdraw those circulars and replace them with the
NTD Sampling Manual at a future time, pending our review of the use of the
NTD Sampling Manual in the 2011 Report Year.
